Of the Month Nomination Form
What is an Of the Month award?
Of the Month (OTM) awards are given out each month in several categories. Their purpose is to reward individuals and groups who are working to positively impact the residence hall community. Anyone may submit a nomination form. Awards winners are determined by Inter-Hall Council, and winners are selected at the end of each month. All nominees will receive letters informing them of their nominations, regardless of whether they win. The next time you see a member of the residence hall community making a difference, fill out this simple form to submit your nomination!
What are the categories of OTMs?
OTM awards are given for the following categories:
Resident of the Month - this award is intended to highlight a resident in any of the residence halls who has positively impacted the lives of others. Perhaps they have responded in an emergency situation, assisted another resident in a time of need, provided comic relief for the floor ... the possibilities are endless!
Program of the Month - this award can be given to an RA, Hall Council, or even a resident who plans and implements an excellent floor or building program. Celebrate their success!
Room Decor of the Month - know someone who has a sweet pad? This award is intended to reward those creative residents who find unique ways to express themselves though their room decorations.
Floor/Unit Community of the Month - this award highlights floors and units who share an uncommonly close bond. Be sure to include examples of what makes the floor/unit community so special.
Residence Life Staff Member of the Month - this award is intended to honor a Resident Assistant (RA), Directors Assistant (DA), or Associate Resident Assistant (ARA) for outstanding achievement in building community on the floor/unit or building.
Hall Council of the Month - is your Hall Council doing an amazing job planning programs and representing their residents? Nominate them for this award!
Spotlight of the Month - this is the "catch-all" category for anyone else who has worked to make the residence halls a positive place to live. Nominees could be custodians, hall directors, faculty members involved in the hall, etc.
