Academic Advisement Committee
Charge: Plans and monitors academic advisement, including career-related advisement. Recruits, encourages and supports students pursuing special awards/scholarships and/or graduate study.
Specific Responsibilities for 2003-04: Continue to review
adviser training; Act as Senate liaison to first year experience and
retention committee; Coordinate/communicate with the First Year Experience
Committee regarding first-year advisor model; Coordinate/communicate with
the Lilly Grant program.
Membership includes five faculty (one of whom is chair), two students, and one representative each from student affairs and academic affairs.
