Higher
Learning Commission Annual Meeting.
Kay Schneider and Mike
Wohlfeil reported on the recent annual meeting of the Higher Learning
Commission. Materials
related to the assessment portion of the meeting were distributed by
Kay. Mike reported on the
portions of the meeting related to accreditation self-study preparation. In the fall, campus committees will be asked to assist in the
preparation for accreditation. The
assessment committee will assist with the assessment criteria of the
self-study report.

Responses
to Departmental Reports. Copies
of the responses to the departmental reports completed by assessment
sub-committees were distributed to the committee as a whole.
Comments are to be forwarded to the identified contact people.
The contact people will e-mail all changes to Mark Jensen by
Wednesday, April 17. Mark
will draft the final responses and mail them to the respective
departments.

Departmental
Annual Reports. Kay
Schneider distributed new guidelines for departmental annual reports
which are due from departments at the end of August.

Departmental Mini-grants. The
English department submitted a mini-grant follow-up report to the
committee. No action was
indicated.

Next
Meeting. This is the
final meeting of the assessment committee for the academic year.
