present: Marion Askegaard,
1.
Discussed the Collaboration
Conference. February 18-19, 2005. Funding is available through the Dean’s
office. It is possible to attend just
one of the two days. If you are
interested in attending, contact Kay.
2.
Reviewed the Assessment
Mini-Grant Application from the Discourse program. Discussed that it might be helpful for them
to set a threshold by which to judge their speeches (e.g., wanting 70% to score
a “four” or higher). Grant request was
approved.
3.
The Assessment Banquet will be
held Thursday, February 3 from 5-6:30 p.m. in Frida Nilsen Lounge. Discussed ways to increase attendance. The committee would like to see one attendee
from each department. The program will
include
1.
Progress on the progress
report
2.
Results of the assessment
survey
3.
Reports from departments
receiving mini-grants
4.
Assessment Survey. The survey has been sent out and 39 responses
have been received to date. The results
thus far have been mixed, but will provide good feedback for the committee to
review.
5.
Please remind your departments
to turn in their Assessment Surveys and also extend an invitation to attend the
Assessment Banquet.
6.
Kay and Mike have had a
program proposal accepted for the HLC Conference. In preparation for their presentation, Kay
will be revising the Assessment Handbook, and will be circulating a table of
contents for feedback.
7.
