Follow-up on the appeal of *)$(%@#: Once all her credits and grades are posted, the issue becomes one of double-counting. In view of the new curriculum’s policy regarding double-counting, her appeal is a non-issue.

Continued discussion of the revised Math 102 proposal and drafting our response. The discussion included a review of the Senate minutes of October 17 and 24 of 2005 which reflect the discussion of the Math requirement in the new Core as well as the minutes from Core Committee meetings last spring and correspondence regarding the dilemma presented by Math 102. The notification will be addressed to the faculty member who submitted the application with copies to the Academic Dean, the Chair of the Education Department, the Registrar, and the chair of the Math Department.

Discussion of applications for Exploration credit:

• Philosophy 220 was accepted for Exploration Designation.
• Classics 110 was returned to the originator for clarification of how students demonstrate fulfillment of the course objectives.

Tuesday’s meeting will involve review of a final draft of notification for Math 102 and discussion of the applications for Exploration designation which have been submitted so far.
