The Core committee continued their discussion of the courses submitted for Exploration and Perspectives designation. MBurchill distributed the application for Chemistry 128, noting it had been prepared on the Short Form. The missing page for the Classical Studies 110 course was also distributed.

There was discussion regarding the future of the proposal and acceptance process. Many of the forms raise questions, which we feel could be clarified were the sponsoring faculty member present. After this initial implementation period, the committee will develop a format to insure clear articulation and understanding of the standards for course content and delivery.
Lisa and Gregg reported briefly on their meeting with the faculty of Business and Economics to answer questions regarding the new Core.
At the next meeting, October 9, three remaining courses will be considered (Chem 128, FND 300, FND 426), followed by the Religion courses.
Respectfully submitted,
MBurchill
