Members present: D. Anderson, M. Burchill, A. Ingberg, D. Sandgren, L. Sethre-Hofstad,

G. Muilenburg, S. Schwartz

1. Appeal

*&^%$#’s appeal to substitute one of his four distribution area B courses for his remaining seventh distribution course was denied.

2. The committee spent the rest of the meeting discussing how best to alert faculty to the new writing recommendations for core courses that a task force had recently completed.

Two decisions were made:

a. The new writing recommendations will be publicized by its posting on the Core website.

b. The new Inquiry Seminar course application will implement the new writing recommendations.
