Core Committee Minutes

April 8, 2008

Lorentzsen Conference Room, 8:00 a.m.

 

Members present: D. Anderson, M. Burchill, A. Ingberg, D. Sandgren, L Sethre-Hofstad, G. Muilenburg, S. Schwartz

 

The meeting was spent discussing the motion Core Committee brought forward, which had its first reading at Faculty Senate on Monday, April 7:

 

Text Box: One of the Exploration courses must be taken at the 300 level, preferably in the junior or senior year.

 

 

 

 

The committee agreed that lack of clarity was the issue causing the most uncertainty. The Senate discussion was suspended due to time and will be taken up again at the next meeting on Monday, April 14.

 

A new format for the presentation of the curriculum on the schedule was discussed and decided upon. M. Burchill will see if Phyllis Ramstad can help in developing a draft.
