28 July - faculty annual review forms
The outline for the Annual Review was enclosed with the summer mailing that
was sent out last week. Please note that you are only required to report
information for the month of August 2003 through May 2004. Some of the
information on the report will be included in next year's Academic Excellence
publication. The reports are due to the department chairs on August 15. Please
e-mail your report to the department chair so that they can submit the
department report in electronic form. Attached is a revised final version of the
Annual Review Form.
13 July - Database changes
Everyone,
The Carl B. Ylvisaker Library wishes to announce changes in a number of
databases funded by the Electronic Library for Minnesota. The most notable
change is the addition of the Academic Search Premier database that replaces the
Expanded Academic Index. For more information about the new databases go to

7 July - CHARIS summer conference
Concordia faculty and staff who plan to attend the CHARIS summer conference
on "God and Science" are urged to let the CHARIS office know as soon
as possible. The Dovre Center will pay your registration fee to attend, but
CHARIS needs to know how many to plan for. So please call Vicki Juven at 3566 or
send an e-mail to her at juven@cord.edu. The conference on July 26-28 will
feature a number of Concordia faculty: Ellen Aho, Per Anderson, Bryan Bishop,
Mark Gealy, Keith Landa, Bryan Luther, Paul Seifert, Ernest Simmons, and adjunct
faculty member, Kenneth Olson. Please call or send an e-mail today with your
name and department! You also need to tell us which seminars you wish to attend.
