31 May - Grade Submission

Carole Stalheim, Registrar
Final grades for Summer Session I are due on or before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday,
June 7th. You will be able to access your classes for grade submission on the
WEB beginning June 1st.
ALL TEACHING FACULTY must respond to the grade submission process by the
deadline even when the student's final grade is not available at the time. A
grade of "I" (incomplete) or "IP" (for appropriate courses
only), or a grade based on coursework already completed can be issued.
Instructions for electronic grade reporting, along with information on how to
obtain and use faculty web security accounts are available on-line. If you have
problems accessing the WEB, please contact Dr. Alex Sze, WEB Support Specialist
at sze@cord.edu or call x4153.

The Canadian Embassy announces the 2005-06 Canadian Studies Grant Program to
provide support for research, conferences and teaching in the social sciences
and humanities that contribute to a better knowledge and understanding of
Canada, its relationship with the United States and its international affairs.
Grants are available for faculty members and graduate students.

6 May - Beyond Registration: Advising for Vocation - summer workshop
The "Beyond Registration: Advising for Vocation" summer workshop,
scheduled for Tuesday, June 14 from noon - 3:00 in BW 44, still has space
available. The goal of this workshop is to address a number of issues pertinent
to strengthening advisors' awareness of vocation as part of the advising
process. These issues include addressing the meaning of vocation advising,
developing strategies for the implementation of vocation advising, and assessing
the developmental state of our advisees. This workshop is intended fo any
advisor who seeks to enrich these crucial contact opportunities with students.
