Cobber ID Cards

-for help with the Online Card Office, Cash-to-Card Load Stations, and using ID Card funds in vending machines.

ID Card Services
The ID Card serves many important functions on campus.
These include:
  • Identification Card
    - This card identifies you as a student, faculty or staff member of the College. This is also required when purchasing tickets to on-campus events, usually to get in free or at a reduced price.
  • Library Card
    - This card is required to check out books at the library and is useful when performing other functions like using the copier.
  • Meal Plan Access Card
    - This card is required when going through the two Dining Centers on campus. This is your ticket to eat.
  • Cobber Cash Card  (Online Card Office | Card Loading Help)
    - The card owner or other designated members (like parents for students) can load the Cobber Cash balance of the ID card, for use as detailed on the Cobber Cash page. These funds are accessed by specifying to the checker to use Cobber Cash for this transaction, then by giving the card to the checker who will swipe the card. The amount of the transaction is automatically deducted from the Cobber Cash account on the card.
  • Dining Dollars Card
    - Meal Plans A-D add funds to the Dining Dollars account for the meal plan participant. These funds are accessed by specifying to the checker to use Dining Dollars for this transaction, then by giving the card to the checker who will swipe the card. The amount of the transaction is automatically deducted from the Dining Dollars account on the card.
  • Health Card
    - This card lets Cobbers enter and use the health club located south of I-94 just off 8th Street.
  • Vending/Concession Card
    - In addition to paying cash, Cobbers may use their Cobber Cash and/or Dining Dollars accounts to pay for items from equipped vending machines. For more detailed information, please visit the Vending page or see below.
  • Residence Hall Laundry
    - In addition to paying cash for laundry loads, students may opt to use funds from their Cobber Cash accounts to pay for laundry. For more detailed information, please visit the Laundry page.
Since the technology is already embedded into ID Cards, there is no additional charge for all ID Card cashless services (Laundry, Cobber Cash, Dining Dollars, Meal Plans). They are a benefit of attending or working at Concordia. You will not have to worry about carrying cash on campus again!

All balances like Cobber Cash and Dining Dollars must be prepaid. Checkers and vending machines will not allow these accounts to descend into negative balances. The Dining Dollars balance is generally not replenished. Instead, it is recommended that the Cobber Cash balance be increased and used for food purchases in this case. To discover how to make a deposit, please visit the Cobber Cash page.

The temporary ID is valid for one week. upon return of the temporary ID to the checker at Knutson Dining, $3 will be refunded. If the ID is not found, a new ID can be purchased for $10 (minus the $5 paid for the temporary). The temporary ID must be returned within seven days or a charge will be issued for its replacement.
