Two Gentlemen of Verona
is the 1972 Tony Award-winning musical that began with the New York Shakespeare
Festival in Central Park. A love-rock version of Shakespeare's classic
comedy, lyrics veered between Shakespearean poetry and pop verse. The
production team took a playful approach to creative casting and included music
by Galt MacDermot, the composer of "Hair." |
