Saturday, Feb. 23
· fly to Boston
· “Literary Tour” of downtown Boston, Back Bay, Freedom Trail
· stay at Omni Parker Hotel—the posh literary salon in its day
Sunday, Feb. 24
· visit Concord, Mass—homes of
- Henry David Thoreau
· hike around Walden Pond (time permitting)
Monday, Feb. 25
· visit milltown museums, Lowell, Mass
· visit The Robert Frost Foundation, Lawrence, Mass (Frost’s hometown)
Tuesday, Feb. 26
· visit the Frost Farm at Derry, New Hampshire
- walk the “Hyla Brook” Trail
· drive north to Franconia, NH
· go tubing at nearby ski area (time permitting)
Wednesday, Feb. 27
· visit “The Frost Place,” near Franconia—now a major center for poetry
- we’ll take “The Road Not Taken”!
· drive to Middlebury, Vermont, site of the Breadloaf Writers Conference
· talk with Jay Parini, novelist and Frost biographer (confirmed)
Thursday, Feb. 28
· visit “The Stone House,” Bennington, VT-- long-time Frost residence and museum

- where Frost wrote “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”
· wander
Friday, Feb. 29
· visit William Pritchard, Frost biographer and critic (confirmed)
- hopefully in the Rare Book Room of the Robert Frost Library, Amherst College
·
drive back to Boston
· attend a Poetry Slam? (if scheduled that evening)
