In May, 2008 I will graduate from Concordia College with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Food/ Nutrition/Dietetics and Exercise Science. My passion for the profession of dietetics developed through my participation in many different sports, including volleyball, cross-country, basketball, softball and dance. For maximum performance in sports, it is extremely important to eat a healthy diet. When I recognized the significance of a healthy diet, I decided to enter college early as a post-secondary student, and start working towards my vocation in dietetics and exercise science. In Minnesota, post-secondary is available for high school students who are in the top of their class. This option allows these students to go to college their junior or senior of high school year and earns college credits.
