WHAT IS NOKOMIS?
* On an income based fee, Nokomis offers daycare services to children from infant to kindergarten. "they take kids on a first come first serve basis and give priority to children of families with financial difficulties, children at risk of abuse or neglect and children with emotional and behavioral problems." Nokomis is a non-profit organization which receives funding through grants, donations from the community, and through fund raising events. throughout these centers children are allowed to receive licensed daycare opportunities which are not offered to all families.

"People are hired and volunteer at center [Nokomis] from local colleges during the summer who are working towards a degree in childhood education or early education and there are others who volunteer at the centers who just love to work with kids."
