 Traveling To Urbania, Italy

Estimated Price: $6,650

This residential experience is a total Italian language immersion program designed to acquaint students with the rich legacy of Italian culture. Located in the foothills of central Italy, the Marche region is very near Tuscany and just an hour’s drive from the sunny beaches of the Adriatic Sea. During our four-week stay, we’ll live in the picturesque Renaissance town of Urbania, attend Italian grammar and conversation classes six days a week, and elect to take supplemental instruction of our own choosing in ceramics, painting, regional cooking or vocal music. Music students will have two hours of voice lessons and coaching per week to focus on Italian repertoire with faculty at the Centro Studi Italiani. We will have access to practice facilities and present several concerts in the region. Optional travel opportunities are possible to cultural and historic sites throughout the area such as Assisi, Ravenna, Florence and Venice. Students will be prepared for travel through a series of required meetings with faculty. No prior knowledge of Italian is necessary to participate in this great opportunity to live and learn in sunny Italy.
