How Do I Import References from Library Databases Into RefWorks?

These directions apply to the following databases:

  • ATLA
  • CINAHL
  • ERIC
  • MLA
  • Physical Education Index
  • PsycINFO

1. Conduct your search.

2. Check the records/citations you want to import into RefWorks and click on the small RefWorks icon above the search results: RefWorks

3. On the next screen, click the button:  RefWorks. If you are not currently logged into your RefWorks account, you will be prompted to do so. Once you are logged in, your references will export automatically.

4. Your imported references should appear in the Last Imported folder within RefWorks.
