You can search the Internet using a directories, search engines, or other resources such as digital library collections. Directories hierarchically organize websites similar to how an index organizes the contents of a book. Search engines search and index a variety of information including websites, wikis, documents, and more. Search engines are easy to use with Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) and phrase searching. Be sure to search multiple search engines because each one indexes different and varying amounts of the web.
