Calculus III

Text: Calculus, Early Transcendentals, 4th Edition, by James Stewart. We will cover Chapter 12 through Chapter 16 of this text.

Homework: Homework will be assigned each day for your practice in mastering the material. Homework that is turned in should be neat and organized. You will not only be graded on correct answers but also on the neatness, organization, steps used to derive your answers, and the use of correct grammar and complete sentences. Suggested homework problems for each section will be given in class, along with a list of problems to be turned in to be graded. You are encouraged to work together outside of class; each of you, however, must write up your own homework to be submitted. Joint or plagarized submissions are completely unacceptable. Your homework grade will be scaled out of 150 points. All students must abide by the college's expectations regarding academic integrity.

Exams: Attendance is required for all exams. If you should miss an exam for an emergency you will be allowed to make it up only if you have notified me before the exam and it must be made up in a timely manner (to be discussed with me individually). I will give you at least one week notice before the exams. There will be four 70-minute unit exams, each worth 100 points, and one comprehensive final, worth 200 points.
