Family Weekend occurs in September after students have had time to
settle into the college routine. A committee coordinates classroom
visitation; an ice cream social; faculty reception; family brunch with
the president; Parents College; a student talent show; and other
activities to introduce visiting families to the many facets of
Concordia.

Forensics (Speech and Debate)

Homecoming

Organizational Mission:
Homecoming is a traditional affair involving the entire campus -
students, alumni, faculty and staff - and the F-M community. The
Homecoming Committee organizes the celebration, which includes
Coronation, a talent show, a fireworks display, a gala banquet, alumni
reunions, a parade, the Harvest Ball, the football game, the Homecoming
Show, a worship service and concert, the Home coming Ball, and many
other events.

Interhall Council

Organizational Mission:
The purpose of Interhall Council is to further a spirit of cooperation
and unity among hall councils, to provide leadership in areas including
hall development, residence hall issues, and develop hall activities, to
see solutions to problems of concern to all residence halls as agreed
upon by the IHC delegates and to assist the associate director of
residential life in identifying resident opinion, needs and concerns.

LeadNow™

Everyone is a Leader. LeadNow™
is a leadership development opportunity for first-year students through
senior students alike. You will learn how to develop and apply your
leadership skills through workshops, conferences and service-learning.
Participants will work as individuals and in groups to explore the
characteristics and practices of effective leadership in a global world.

Mock Trial

Organizational Mission:
The goal of the Mock Trial organization is to participate in mock
trial competitions and tournaments, as well as foster an introductory
education of trial techniques and strategies. Mock trial provides an
excellent opportunity for students to gain experience in a legal setting
through the enactment of a trial.

The Concordia Theatre Company

Organizational Mission:
The mission of the Concordia Theatre Company is to propel students to
excellence in intellectual understanding and artistic experience.
Concordia Theatre is an educational enterprise that explores social
issues, raises questions of faith and ethics, and challenges students
and audiences. Through the Theatre program, students identify their
values in relation to important life decisions, understand and
appreciate the contributions of art in contemporary society, and make
choices based on an informed understanding of the collective human
condition.
