Hip Hop Congress-Concordia Chapter *NEW in Fall 2007!*

Organizational Mission: 
The purpose of the Hip Hop Congress Concordia Chapter is to create spaces and times where people of different races, backgrounds, and beliefs can come together and create shared experiences through Hip Hop. It serves to make people, not of a Hip Hop background, to reevaluate their perception of Hip Hop which is commonly influenced by corporate entities such as MTV and BET. The Hip Hop Congress is a small part of the broader global movement of Hip Hop which all too often gives voices to the voiceless and community to those without one.
